Is it time for an evaluation?
Women should consider an evaluation if you have had regular unprotected sexual intercourse for a year and have been unable to conceive (six month if you are over the age of 35). Other reasons to come in for an earlier appointment include irregular menstrual cycles, known fertility problems or a history of pelvic (or sexual transmitted infections).
During the evaluation process, Dr Swanson will discuss your specific risk factors after taking a very thorough history and likely recommend blood work and/or imaging studies. If you have testing that has already been completed please bring those results to your visit.
Following the evaluation process, she will be able to clearly explain and help you formulate a plan of care.
